Happy Birthday to Me

This post came a little late, and since I've gotten my anger out of the way (refer to my previous post), I would like to share my HAPPY BIRTHDAY with everyone.

Or whoever that reads this.

On the 24th October, our school held its usual annual Enterprise Day. Mostly because the school can't find anything else to do. Or they just refuse to use their creative juices. I don't know.

I was in charge of the arrangements, coupons, etc, and was running around like a mad dog. Actually, not really, I was barking out orders like one, more like. Haha. Thanks for all those who helped so much. You saved me.

I never really expected any kind of present, since my birthday was hardly a special occasion, so, I thought it was just going to be like any other day in school.

Boy was I wrong.

Not only did I have one mini birthday party, but two. First of all, it was the OBS Living Stone! They gathered in class 3A and sang me a birthday song. They had put together a CD remix for me, and I was really surprised and happy. It touched me, because there were people who celebrated my birthday for me even though we weren't best friends. They cared, at the very least.

My second birthday bash was in the school canteen. Not the best place to have one, but it's the sentimental value that matters. Nicole, my darling ^^, had gathered my close friends and some of my classmates to sing a birthday song for me. They even prepared two cakes! I think they wanted to fatten me up. Not gonna work girl. Haha.

The funniest thing was the candles! I blew them, and they'd light up again! I'd blow them again and they'd light up again! And so on...until we all got sick of the joke.

The only thing was that the situation was awkward. Really. Awkward. Sure, they were all my close friends, but they were my close friends--they weren't close to each other. In fact, they barely knew each other at all. That's the only down side of the party, but I'd enjoyed it nevertheless!! Thank you, Nicole!

I received presents from Nicole, Emma and Si Yun.

Nicole: Suntec City Makeup Bag, Necklace, Ring and two cards!

Emma: Blue Elephant Water Dispenser, Blue Cup, Blue Cup Cover, one card!

Si Yun: A friendship song that filled my heart with passion and another present she is still working on!

They are my three best friends, and they may not be close to each other, they may be different, but they make my life worthwhile.

And that's what matters.

Many of my friends gave me birthday wishes, and even my teachers did! I was so surprised and touched! Turns out Nicole and gone around and asked them to sign my birthday card. Gosh I love it! What's more, the card is blue!

Another notable event, Leonard and I chatted. Wow. It had been a long time, and I was glad he was still friendly, albeit flirtarious. I enjoyed talking to him, reliving the moments in primary school when he had a serious crush on another girl and had me chant her name whenever I needed to get past him into my seat. That was plain adorable, no matter that I was pretty annoyed by him when he did that at the time.

Jia Jie and Joel also wished my happy birthday, two of the people I had least expected to know that it was my birthday. Obviously, I was pleasantly surprised. Even Shu Yi, Josephine and Eugenia wrote on my birthday card.

And many others, but that would be revealing too much. Haha.

Thank you, everyone, for making my fifteenth birthday one of the most memorable days in school. I had never received so many good wishes before.

Arigato.
