I watched a documentary today, on National Geography, about TOP 5 most thrilling jobs, adventure, accidents and rituals. They do things to the extreme, testing life's limits and determined to push past them as much as possible.
One of the most unfortunate ones, was the documentary on the 73-year-old man walking the rope 10 storeys high across the from one building to another. There was no net. Due to the unstability of the ropes, the man was unable to balance himself properly. He tried to sit down...and he fell off. And plunged straight into his death.
It never fails to escape me how a person can just die like that, in a matter of seconds. How can a life, deemed so precious, just end poof like that? He was gone. I watched him fall from the screen. Even without sound effects, I could imagine the sickening thud sound resounding in my ears, and send ripples of electricity down my spine. Oh. My. Gosh.
I can't bear to write anymore. See if I can get some of my words out tomorrow.
